The estate in a few words
Domaine Nathalie et Gilles Fèvre covers a little more than 99 acres :
The estate has adopted sustainable viticulture for more than 20 years, only using eco-friendly techniques. And now, some parts of the vines are organically grown (a little more than 25 acres). In the cellar, we vinify each vineyard plot separately, working in the simplest possible way (we just pay great attention to hygiene) so the minerality and complexity of our wonderful terroirs express themselves freely.
For the record… The Fèvre Family has been living and working in the heart of the Chablis vineyard for many generations. Gilles’ Grandfather co-founded the cooperative winery La Chablisienne and his father was the Cooperative president for several years.
Food industry and Oenology graduate, Nathalie gets her first job as a winemaking consultant in the Nantes area. Then she moves to Chablis where she works 12 years at La Chablisienne, as a cellar manager. In 2004, they launch their own wine estate along with Gilles, also winemaker : Gilles in the vines and Nathalie in the cellar.
The estate’s philosophy in a few words : To produce authentic Chablis wines ; characterized by a firm backbone and purity.
